hey,
i just wondered how many degrees your paddle needs, to make your backdeck roll go smooth. my last paddle had 45 degrees and doing a backdeck roll was easy. now my paddle broke (:( ) and i'm thinking about getting a paddle with a lower degree than my last one. i lately tried a paddle with 0 degrees and found out, that doing a backdeckroll was much harder than before. so help me out: How many degrees do i at least need?

cheers

it doesn't matter, you can do offside backdecks with a regular paddle with the feather working against you. It is all about getting used to it.

I always kinda though it was easier with less feather. Foam core blades cant hurt iether. I would think no mtter what feather on the blades ud just learn to compinsate.

I back deck roll with a zero twist padle.
If you depend on twist to help you on one side it will hurt you on the oppsit side. padle with what you want to use and learn to adjust the blade in the water.
