happy feet? 17 years 4 months ago #19649

Jackson Happy Feet - are they all they're cracked up to be? Any experience?

Are there any similar alternatives out there (other than foam padding, foam padding and more foam padding?!)

Ta

you could get a Liquid Logic Foot block. Which is pretty much the same thing. If you use Happy Feet right they ROCK. I love them. But if you use them wrong they suck

How can you \"use them wrong\"? Don't you just shove them in, get comfy and pump it up?!

cheers

If you don't suck out all the air in the bag they will move around and not be solid.

Set them up right... I had to learn that the hard way too

Ill write it up for ya just incase

1 put the happy feet in the bow.

2 add a little air to the beanbad...just enough to let the beans move around.

3 get in your boat (feet where you want them) and pump up the large bag so you get tight

4 now, suck out the beanbag air to form around your feet and close the valve.

5 adjust the big bag to fit and enjoy

forgive me for being stupid but....

\"4 now, suck out the beanbag air to form around your feet and close the valve.\"

won't letting all the air out make the bag small again and not snug in the bow... just like it would've been had i put it in the bow with no air in the first place? Doesn't it need air to make the bag larger and tight?

i'm no doubt missing a fundamental factor here...!!

:) cheers!!

There are 2 bladders

One with a (for lack of a better term) \"mouth valve\"... The other a (lets call it a)\"ball pump\".

K

Alrighty

The mouth valve is the part with the beans

The ball pump is the other section...

How it works is like this... You make a custom fit for you feet by moulding the beans about then sucking out the rest of the air to make it a firm mould. Then adjust (aka move the foot moulding forwards and back) by pumping the ball pump or letting out some air from it

does that make sense?

you need a little air in the bean bag part to begin with...this lets the beans move about (kinda liquidish)... then once you suck out the air the beans become a solid moulding.

Hope that helps
