Trouser Issues... 17 years 3 months ago #19975

What are people's experiences with paddling trousers (especially in colder climates) and what would you recommend?

Thanks, GS

In colder weather I am using long underwear made of wool, then drypants on top of that. Sometimes I use neoprene long-john, which I find warmer. The lower body is seldom a problem when it comes to freezing.

Thanks! So if you were to buy a new set, which would you rather have: Nookie Xtreme dry Trousers Or palm sidewinder pants? Has anyone had experiences with either of these products?

Thanks for the input!

I know nothing about Nookie but I've had good service out of my Palm dry tops and also dry pants.

Living in SA I haven't used dry pants often but overseas and on the odd occasion here I've worn them with some quick wick type long johns underneath. Even in Norway when the water was very cold and the air too it wasn't a problem and I was warm.

Have a look at Kokatat products. I bought the Rogue dry top last year and it is second to none.

ive used the nookie pant for a few years and they were just a real pain the top neoprene waist tube gets really lose really quickly and the taping on mine wasnt very good i know many a person who has seen similar things
mine are now redundent as im usinga palm dry suit but the quality of palm gear is much better for taping and and build tho i would say nookie stronger fabrics
but ry for fit thats the main shizzle you need to worry about and if yu get the palm ones with socks take into consideration your footwear
