Hiya, I know this has been discussed to death but I'm having an issue with my back deck roll that I cant seem to find mentioned in any of the other threads.

I have got the basics of it however when I get to the end of the rotation my left paddle blade is hitting my boat and hence stopping the movement. (I'm learning to roll on the left, ie right hand at the front) I'm sure I'm missing some fundamental pointat the end, I suspect I need to lift my left blade higher but then I get the feeling I'm going to just sink my right blade. Any advice would be superb!

Hey Mate

Yeah your right you need to lift your left hand so that the non active blade can clear the kayak as you roll up. as for your master hand and the working blade sinking, it all come down to blade angle. as your rotating out and to the front using your right knee to pull you low and forward maintain a slight climbing angle towards the front of your kayak. fluidity is the key. i'm sure you'll get it though have fun trying. :dance:

yeah mate for sure

i have been waiting for fu%&#ng months for the fluid stock to arive here is Aus. i was going to buy a Spice but they just kept getting delayed on and on and on. finaly my paddle shop said they would be in this month but i had cracked the shits by then and ordered and payed for the EZG60. :cursing:

probably better that i did anyway. i mayed the decision on the Spice a year ago and now i am a much better paddler and could use something sharper like the EZG60. let us know how the Nemisis goes i think i need to get a dedicated play boat some time. :ask:
