Why do you Canoe/kayak?

As part of my dissertation I am interested to find out motivational reasons for both canoeing/kayaking and climbing. From this questionnaire I would like to understand the reasons behind your participation in canoeing and kayaking. The data collected from these questionnaires will be compared with identical questionnaires related to the various aspects of climbing. This will allow me to make conclusions related to motivational behaviour based on the comparisons of the two sets of data.

Could I ask for a few moments of your time to help me with this research? You will not be identified in any research findings?

It seems this survery only applies to people paddling in the UK... The only stars I know are the ones in front of my eyes when I hit my head really hard. ;)

Perhaps you should change that question 5 a bit then. It holds zero relevance for a lot of people and there are plenty on this forum that are not from the UK. Just my :2cents: Otherwise I would have filled it in.. :grin:

Just a quick point of view: The Questionaire was quite limited in depth though I see scope to expand the range of questions to correlate the whys of 'pushing' oneself to publish at a later date. Would like to see a follow up on the data you receive as well as an depth f/u survey.
