I'm new here and am looking for some advice. I bought a Prijon Hercules (big creek boat) about a year ago:

playak.com/kayaks.php?id=324

It's my first whitewater kayak, and I've had it out only a handful of times in up to some class III stuff. I didn't demo before I bought it, and am now starting to think that I should have gone with something else as a beginner. I'm 6'3 195, and figured that I would need a big boat, but now I think that it might be too big. Any advice as to whether or not I should look for something else that would suit my needs better (maybe in the riverrunning category since I'm still new to everything) and if so, what should i look at? Thanks

The best thing I reckon would be not to rush into anything. Stick with the boat for now but in the meantime demo as many different types of boat as you can. Borrow your mates boats demo boats from shops and see what type of boat and boating you like. When you have a better idea of what you are after then either keep the boat or sell it and get another one. :2cents:
