I'm currently looking at the following boats...

Liquidlogic Remix 69
Pyranha Ammo Medium
Wave Sport Diesel 75
Jackson Hero
Dagger Mamba 8.0
Riot Thunder
Bliss Stick Scud
Fluid Spice

I'm looking for a river running boat that would be good for a beginner/intermediate, and would allow me to do a bit of everything... (I really like the idea of the "play creeker") from mild creeking to a little bit of surfing and playing. I plan on trying each of them out if I can, but was wondering if anyone had any advice on which out of these I should really look into or maybe not look into.

BTW I'm about 6'4 and weigh 195

Thanks!

all of those are good boats... What I would do is demo as many as possible and take it from there.. That is such a long list that I would try to cut it down a little

If it were me

JK Hero
Pyranha Ammo
Fluid spice
B-S Scud

Here are my thoughts

JK hero and ammo are similar boats... Creeking boats with playoat hulls (awesome idea for a do anything boat)... Jackson has some comfy, comfy outfitting B) and the new model hero's are sooooo nice, shortly after that the ammo for similar hull design and allround boating fun

The fluid spice and B-S scud are more river runners with different designs and would be more fiver running/vs the other 2 I mentioned (rr/play/creeker)... Now the nice thing with these boats is they will also go anywhere and do anything within reason. The spice is a little more playful than the scud though

Contact your local dealer and see what brands they carry, Bliss Stick doesnt have US shops as you buy through a local "agent"

Hope I helped

like I said "if it were me"...

Mostly I was thinking aboput the hull design. With plaining hulls its easier to adjust your line and (IMO) more fun to paddle... Now Displacement hulls have their place and Im not knocking them but if you wast some "playability" Id go towards plaining...

Best way I can describe the hull differences is likr this... Manuvering Plaining hulls are like turning sports cars, Displacement hulls are like school busses... but when you need to get up to speed a longer hull will accelerate faster and once online the more you crank the moer on line you will stay.

I think the JK Hero/Pyranha Ammo might be good choices for you as they have the safety/stability of a creek boat, the volume of a creek boat but the quick and loose feel of a playboat... If I could only have one boat, one of those would definately be in the running
