When you are at your bow, your just letting your boat fall over while you keep looking at your bow. You should, once you are on your bow, turn your upperbody around again, and then the boat will follow and you wont flatten out.

as soon as your bows in and your about to fall on the other edge of your boat your paddle should be right out the water

the most important part of cartwheelng is to LOOK THE WAY YOUR GOING. where the head goes the body follows, where the body goes the kayak follows.

tha hard part is learning to take the paddle right out the water and trusting the boat to get on its back end itself.

but look the way your cartwheeling and you cant go wrong
