Kayak Session: What’s Up Doc? – The First Aid Kit 16 years 9 months ago #22375

Playak News Watch: Kayak Session: What’s Up Doc? – The First Aid Kit

Anytime you head out on the water, whether it’s for a short couple of hours or a multi-day trip, it’s a very good idea to bring a first aid kit with you. This can often make the difference between a great, worry free trip and a stressful one. Luckily, this kit does not have to be complicated. First, you will need a dry bag to put your first aid supplies in. Dry bags are my housing of choice as they are malleable and can readily fit in stow spaces, and they are waterproof.

Has anyone ever tried super glue to glue the flap of skin from a blister back onto the hand? How well does it work? I'd never heard of that until now... :side:

There are medical versions of 'superglue', or cyanoacrylate. First used extensivley to treat wounds in the Vietnam war. But some people can get reactions to normal household superglue.

It works quite well at sticking your fingers together, while you try to repair the girlfriends favourite ornaments though:blush:

iv used both duct tape and eltrical insulation tape to hold wounds closed. also works well for tempery boat repairs as well which makes it a must in my firt aid kit. my mate has also yoused it as a sling too.

then the extra bonas you dont need a dry bag for it just hiff it into the back of your boat
