- this is our 4th annual HOMEGROWN photo/video contest, an amateur contest seeking to encourage creativity insipired by a lack of resources - this is a real live event, not just something you watch on your computer - so send in an entry and join us on the aug 30 at the chattooga river (pray for rain) for live reggae music w/CHALWA, plenty of drinks, photo/video show and awards, live DJs, and much more - this contest depends solely on YOUR participation and is simply an excuse to get together and have a good time while seeing a diverse selection of various photos and videos displayed on the big screen - its been a good time in the past and we're anticipating another good time this year - so dont procrastinate too much and send in those entries - 1st place action photos will win an AQUABOUND paddle, 1st place artsy photos gets an OSPREY backpack, 1st place general video gets a RIOT kayak, 2nd place an Adventure Eye headcam system, and theres still plenty of other great prizes for everyone else -

- entries deadline is midnite august 22
- you DO NOT have to be present to win, though you will miss a good time
- there are 4 categories - 2 photo (action and artsy) and 2 video (3-5 minute general themed and 1-3 minute strictly carnage)
- there is a $5 entry fee, but this gets you an official HG4 tshirt and the event is free to attend otherwise
- there will be a used gear sale, RIOT kayak demos, Adventure Eye headcam demos, did we mention live reggae music, CWO and HUMBLE PIE specials and sales, and more
- dont forget your camp chairs and rain gear
- there is plenty of local camping in the area
