Hi, B)
Does anyone have any info on the Biscuit - the new kayak from LiquidLogic?
www.liquidlogickayaks.com/biscuit.cfm
What is the suggested paddler weight range for each size?
The volume stats look like the small one is smaller then the Ronin49, the medium one is BIGGER then the Vision56 (which I paddle now and love, but know that it's just ab bit big for me...), and the big one - i's gotta be huge with 66 galons.
So... has anyone seen/paddled/demoed this Biscuit?
Also, when is it going to be available?

Cheers
Dima

It looks weird, but intriguing as well.
But I just got myself a Fluid Nemesis M. Can't go buying new boats every half year!

As I understand it,

The Biscuit is still in prototype phase, There are a couple out there being tested by the elect few who get to paddle them

Shane posted about it on his blog "shanes logic"... he put up some stuff on boatertalk a couple days ago...

shanesliquidlogic.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Personally I dont really care for LL (Jefe didnt agree with me, CR really didnt agree with me either, couple other subjective reasons) but the concept of a 65-66gal playboat seems just about PERFECT for my size/stats.

Dammit!!! I have to put them back in the running again...It does look pretty sweet

Heya,
Laddie, I've read the article on Shane's blog.
All looks really interesting. I was just really wondering about the sizes...
It's the story of my life - being stuck in between, one too big, the other too small.
And I love LL, the Vision did wonders for me!

Arson,
Wha's your take on the Nemesis?
Can you please give some info? What's your weight? What kind of stuff do you paddle? How long have you been paddling? Which boats did you have before and compare to? Anything & everything :-) !
May be PM me - if it's too personal. ;)

Thanx,
D

on liquid logic's site, there is not too much info, but here is the page: www.liquidlogickayaks.com/biscuit.cfm . Also, the only way to find it is to click on the boats link on the left side. also, have you looked at any other boats? the Wave Sport fuse 48 or the project 52 might be a great boat for you. The only problem that I see with the Project is that it doesn't have a drain plug. The Jackson fun might work too.

Interesting project, I'm curious for the outcome. Who knows, in a few years everyone will paddle a playboat that looks like a surfkayak. Am very glad to hear that the big variant will not be as small as some big variants, I like not being discriminated.

So...
Any news, reviews or oppinions on the Biscuit?
Anyone managed to get a hand on one yet?
By the looks of the vid on the liquid logic site, it has been (or still being) tested.
www.liquidlogickayaks.com/liquidtv.cfm
Hopefully they come up with another success like the vision - and not a flop like what I've been hearing everywhere about the ronins...

Well, may be it's time to revive the original question?
Now that the Biscuit is out there...
Has anyone got it, paddled it?
What's it like? ;)
Cheers,
D

Moment of truth (almost...)
Just got back from paddling, my Vision leaks badly, found a nice big crack in the hull :S
Time to order a new kayak...
So now I really need to know if anyone tried the Biscuit, no hype, just facts :)
So? Anyone?
Cheers,
Dima

Re:LL Biscuit 15 years 11 months ago #26107

I HAVE THE large buscuit!!!!

I've been paddling the 65 gal for three weeks now and its is so much fun. Maybe i'm being optimistic do to the fact that i was kayaking a failure of a boat the fuse 56. I'm 6'3 195-210 depending on the time of year. anyway I went to the jersey paddler convention with the intention of just sitting it i and checking it out because i really wasn't a fan of the original prototype but i wanted to see what the final outcome was. i looked at the seat and jumped it. i shit you not it was like sitting on your couch it was so comfortable. i loved the cone of comfort to becuse my feet always fell asleep in the fuse. Woody the guy who came up with the bad ass outfitting came up to talk to me about the boat and is improvments. after about five minutes of sitting in it i took it home. now on the wave and in the holes its a dream. this boat had me front looping in the smallest and slowest water with more pop then i thought possible. it surfs nice bit doesnt really dig into the wave with its edges which is alright for me because i'm more of a hole guy anyway but this boat changed my padddling forever and made me think any and every move is possible.

Hey Jordan,
Thanx a lot for the info! I've been waiting for it for a while... :-)
This sounds like good news.
I will definitely be looking into the medium size - the 55, but it all sounds right - the changes from the earlier prototypes, the outfitting, etc.
Me being more of a wave guy, the important question is "how does it carve?"
Now all I need is to figure out how to get it from the US to my part of the woods. ;)
Thanx again!
Dima
