Looking for a new yak and I am considering the Boreal Design Labrador - 18'4" - 21".

I have several boats and I want one that is FAST, tracks well, for day paddling (live on a lake and have boats to carry junk), reasonable primary stability, good secondary stability, tight fit - seat, backband, thigh support.

My stats:
6'0"
200 lbs.
Broad through shoulders, narrow waist, hips
Age - 64
Physically fit
Kayaker - 12 years
Owned 6 boats over the years, e.g., Owned QCC, Necky Chatam, Dagger Magellan, , currently paddle Tempest 17 - one roto and one kevlar.
Yup - will demo them all, Labrador plus others mentioned below.

Other boats I am considering in addition to the Labrador:
QCC 700X
Eddyline - Falcon 18
EPIC - 18X
Point 65 N - XP

Any info, opionions, etc. about the Labrador, or other yaks mentioned would be appreciated.

Have you looked at the Perception Rhythm or the Carolina 12? here is a link to the rhythm: www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,1040J_Perce...itness_Touring_Kayak
