My first kayak? 16 years 7 months ago #23078

Hello there lovely knowing people!

I am thinking about buying my first kayak and I have to say that this is a real mine field for me, simply as I do not know al ot about sepcifications, although I am slowly learning!

I am 5 foot 11 and weigh 9.5 stone (130 ish pound, 60 kg??), I am rather slim.

I would like a general purpose boat that will do a little of everything as I am beginner!

I have looked at the Pyranha Inazone 232 and had the Dagger GT recommended to me. Im am sure there are pros and cons to both, what are they from those that have used them and are there any others that you would recommend, like I say I have looked at alot of boats but Im starting to get a little conused by what would be best for me to look into more!

Thank you in advance for you help guys and gals!

If you want a boat that can do a little bit of everything, look at the Pyranha Ammo, Liquid Logic XP9, or the Pyranha Master TG.

I'm awfully fond of the Jackson Fun--definitely all-around sort of boat  You'd end up the same as me--on the lighter side of the Fun weight range, but the height/inseam length would necessitate the Fun rather than the 2Fun.

The inazone is a kayak that i highly reccomend. It was my first boat and the only problem I had was that i grew too big for it :(
There are a few of these boats out there in the second hand market so have a look and see hwt you can find... :)
