I think these boats are about the same width and length and vol. Does anyone know how they compare in terms of performance. Surfing, attaining, turning, boofing, drops, etc.

The Prijon Tornado was the earliest of the boats, so you could argue that it's the most outdated. The Green Boat had its market introduction this year and is the boat that had the top 4 finishes last year in the Green River Narrows, and the top 2 spots in 06. However, who knows how the same people (Pat Keller, Andrew Holcombe, Chris Gratgmans, and Geoff Calhoun) would have performed in the Remix... According to Boatingbeta, Chris is the only person who has paddled a Tornado, and his time difference between 1 race with the Green boat and his 2 races in a Tornado are under 10 seconds (4:34 in Green, 4:40, 4:43 in Tornado). Therefore, there isn't really much of a difference in the Green Boat and Tornado, except for names, outfitting, and plastic. the overall design is the same. Also, if anyone has a link to any info about the Remix, please post it. Another boat to look at would be the Wave Sport Laser or the Wave Sport Momentum. For that matter, look at any long boat! If you need any other help, fire away.

Tornado's are really tough to find these days and the remix 100 is not available to the public. The wavesport momentum is also not available to the public, but I have paddlied one a tiny bit and I think it needs to undergo some more protos before it can compare to the other boats listed. I have a green machine and I really like it. Like everybody says, it really shines when going down rapids. It doesn't surf too well compared to the other old long boats like a pirouette or something with a lower volume stern. It is also tougher to attain with because it is kinda slow in flatwater due to all its rocker. It's a cool design for sure and I love mine, but I mainly have it for going with the flow.

On Boatertalk, there is a Prijon Tornado for $650 in the SE US between Birmingham, Alabama and Asheville, NC. The person selling it is Chris Young, who has a PR of 4:49 on the narrows. There are also 2 listings for the Dagger Green Boat, one new for $967 and one used for $750. links are in respective order:

The weight range is 140-260 lbs, so most people should be fine. I assume that it is a standard 34"x19" cockpit, since it uses a seals 1.4 skirt. What boat are you currently paddling? if it is a Jackson, their rims are generally wider, so the best way to check the sizing is to go to the nearest store that has the Green Boat or any boat with a 19" wide rim and make sure you fit well. Also, how long are your legs? I would think that it would work fine, since it appears to have an adjustable bulkhead.
