PLEASE EXPLAIN I dont want kayak companys freaked out cause they are most hated company and no explainations

Don 't thing the question is fair.
Each company has designed boats for certain environemnts and some do one thing better than others.
There are a couple companies that cater to larger variety of paddlers and conditions but...
To say that Perception is worse than others is not fair either. They did not keep up with the playboat market and (unless I am misinformed) have dropped out of that market. Go back in time and they were the state of the art along side Dagger... They had their place in the market then and for what it is worth , their boats were bullet proof.
Although their time is over I still tip my hat to their more than 20 years of kayaking and boats.
When I started in an old fibreglass boat me and my buddies ooohed and awwed at the Dancer. I've owned a Dancers and then Piroutte and had a Whiplash). I have also owned a couple Dagger products (way back when) and now ride Jackson and Riot.
I can not pin down one company whose boats I've paddled that I would hate.

what if you were about to buy a boat and only saw what the company or someone affiliated the company had to say about it.

This site is very good about indipentant Reviews of the boats but i would like to see what happend when some one broke their boat and the company tired to avoid them like a bill colector.

yea i got a dagger g-ride thinking it was the greatest boat ever, unfortunatly no one told me about the crappy outfitting and sucking of it not going over class 3 water. but alas you live you learn

Yah.. this is a stupid idea. Why didn;t you check out the outfitting yourself!! Also, Of course the G-ride can paddle class III. You may just be unable to navigate class III water with a responsive playboat. The boat is fine... its you.

dont hate collarborate thats just my opionon you can have yours and i put perception not dagger it was my fault not daggers i just wish there was more info out there not a hate thing

Hate is a pretty rough word! But the reason, why I didn't buy a Pyranha in the end, is the supposedly bad material! You can read quite often that it breaks quite easily compared to others! Hope the guys change this! Because the boats actually rock!

So what if pyrannah boats break. They break and you get a new one. They are awsome about it.. Ws isn't as good about bad boats as pyrannah and they've had problems too.

Most hated company or products? Big difference! I don't care for a few of the companies, but that has more to do with their reps or business practice than it does with the products

i don't like draggorossi kayaks because they are too expensive and have pretty much the same design as the other brands

perception for making the java and almost getting my killed... and i don´t blame my self b.c. many people i know who have tried the boat complain about the same stuff, too unstable and too hard to roll. that with too much stress in too rough waters is a killer combo, in a bad way. maby it was sompart my fault. and also b.c. i had so many bad swims in the boat i almost stoped kayaking, it took me several nights of crying and doubting my skill to get on the water with confidence again.

on the topic of hating. it´s ok not to love everything and telling people about it.

The Java is awsome. I ran super sweet lines in it. Punches holes well, and is fast and all around awsome. Maybe your too big for it. I'm 115 and i LOVED it when i tried it in semi-technical class IV. I never had a problem rolling it, I have a good roll. Maybe cause i playboat so much that I am used to fliping. W/e they don't make it anymore. BTW If anyone has one for sale in the DC area I will buy it!!

there arent any companies i hate, but a couple i dislike. Perception doesnt do ww anymore so all there stuff is old school, and dragorossi boats are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced, they MIGHT, be better, but not four to five hundred dollars better. Dagger isnt bad, but id rather support the little guy.

They make the UK olympic kayaks but also make HORRID plastic boats. Like dancers gone wrong.

If nobody knows a Dancer is a horrid boat too.

Like a 1980's throwback given to scouts even though the boats are stupid and just ridiclous.

Please, what?? OK, I don't think you honestly wanna discuss about producers using weak material and its pros and cons!
Even if I get a new one, my vacation is f*cked up quite a lot! Because there won't be a factory representative around the next corner of the cataract! And give me a new one for kayaking on! Not mentioning what to use for the next rivers... You remember: The boat broke!
And coming back home, getting on the next telefon to find who feels responsible for sending me a new one, is just not what I dream of! And waiting for... what do I know... two weeks, till I have it, is not in my sense either!
But perhaps I don't get to the next phone, because I drowned, because my boat broke in a class VI cataract which you surely don't want to swimm! (Ps: you can even drown and break boats in class IV)

I think all those producers which are somewhat know for using weak material should change this! And there are some? that don't have the best reputation for their material! Shouldn't be too hard for them to find out what kayakers think about their material: just start a questionnaire like this one in this forum about material used by brands and what we think about it!

the plastic isnt different tho, maybe a bit, but there are rumors bout everbodies plastic being weak or not as good. They maybe a bit different but i dont think one boat would crack under the stress that another boat wouldn't unless you got the lighter model boat or something like that.

oh, and for the record, there already is a forum topic about, check it out and wee what other people say.

So ive had a good look at peoples previous posts on this one, and i agree its a fairly stupid topic. Weve all got a company whose boats we dont like as much and im not surprised that perceptions the most disliked, as nowadays they are a bit behind the times.
However, i wont hear a word against the dancer!
Please dont forget it was the FIRST roto-molded plastic kayak, and as such has done more first descents than probably any other boat ever made. It is also the boat that a huge number of people learnt to paddle in, and nearly every club in the UK at least will still have a couple in their fleet.
As to hating a company because you didnt get on with a boat, its not the boat, its you. If you cant run grade V in a kayak or hit that clean blunt, its your skill thats not up to it, not the boat. There a few exceptions to this, and different boats for different folks, but please remember, a bad workman blames his tools.

how is it stupid to swap stories about bad boats. I would rather hear about a bad story and avoid one myself. just because its bad pr for some co. doesnt make it stupid.

yeah, 99 percent of forums on this sight that talk about boats just give opinions on peoples favorites and which one they think someone should get. Its nice to see the opposite for a change, its all opinion anyways. As for the dancer,it was good in its day i guess but most of the people on this sight,according to playak poll, are btween 14-19( or somethiing like that) and dont have the attachment to it that slightly older paddlers might, it is a pretty outdated boat.
