hiya, was wondering if it is possible to repair a snaped padle shaft its made of carbon kevlar and the brake is pretty much clean i.e. two flat sufaces on each side its not quite half way.

Have used a short piece of solid bar stock alumin. as a dowel along with an epoxy and it's still being used by a friend after 10 years.

Would also contact the maker. Have had some fix for free or a very low cost.

What kind of paddle do you have (brand, how many pieces does it break down to)? I have seen some kits where you can turn a 1 pc into a 2 or 3 pc much like how Terry said. Here's a few links:

I know that I have seen another one, but I can't remember where. If you get a conversion kit, don't buy it online if possible, but go to a store, since the shaft dimensions may be different.

yeh was thinking along the same lines of the aluminium dowl and epoxy the paddle is a carlisle tech series 2000 ww comp and its one pc could get it a kit to convert to a split paddle and use t as a spair.
