Just saw this on MRP: DR plastic slalom kayak .

For those of you too lazy to click on the link, it is a Dragorossi SL350 plastic slalom kayak for $559 preorder with a $40 shipping cost (total of under $600!). They are going to be available for the preorders in Washington, D.C.; Falls Village, CT; and Charlotte, NC. Beats the Jackson Ricochet price-wise almost 3 times less expensive. Jackson Ricochet .

Just saw this. Thank you posting it. I'm the one bringing those boats in, so here is the inside scoop.

The price will go up at the end of January. It's super low right now so that I can get at least half of the container sold. This needs to happen because I'm not a big business and can't afford to just buy a pile of boats. But, the slalom boat looks nice, and people asked about it, so anyone who makes a "pre-order" is essentially a co-importer with me. (thus the bare bones pricing)

Retail price will be about $750 before shipping. That price will go into effect in February. But, until then, anyone who knows what they want can use that link above and order a boat to get on the container.

I already have someone in Tennessee picking up his boat in the Asheville area, so we might be able to convince him to pick up a couple more boats. He claims to be 12 hours from Dallas, TX so that extends the boater/car-rack delivery network quite a ways (to a limited extent).

Also, depending on my teaching schedule (I'm a university art teacher), I might be able to use some time in the beginning of March to bring some boats out to the middle of the country. It's my vacation, so I'd like to be able to get on the water while off from work. But, since most boaters live near at least some kind of water, I'm sure that can be arranged.

Anyway, just putting it out there.
I hope everyone in the U.S. is enjoying either water or snow to play on. (uh, I mean to "train" on)

Thank you to everyone who ordered one of the slalom boats.
About 80% of the container is already sold.
We added a few extra slalom boats and a few Mad Boys to round out the order. They will probably go pretty fast, but I'm sure that Tony Z has some more coming in at www.donkeyflip.com

The container is en route, crossing the Atlantic. I'll email people when the boats are here to arrange delivery dates.

I am so excited to be able to help keep slalom going by getting these boats into the country for shallow water practice and teaching friends how to run gates without bashing up expensive composite boats.
