Alright guys,

I'm looking at finally getting my own boat - has anyone got any suggestions:

I am looking for something that I can still use on white water but also start learning to playboat (weirs, features and surf).

I have had the Perception Full Tilt suggested to me, not wanting to break the bank at the moment.

Any advice is appreciated.
Cheers

Get a used boat that is in decent condition, fits you, and is inexpensive by your terms. The Pyranha sub-7 is about the same length as the Full Tilt, but has much slicier ends, since the small and large versions have 39 and 49 gallons, respectively. There are plenty of good boats on the used market, so start there, but carefully inspect the boat and try to arrange a river or lake demo with the owner to get a feel for the boat and to make sure that it doesn't leak. Odds are, any boat under 6' 6" will work well. I'm sure that you can find plenty of Pyranhas like the S6, 420, Rev, and Recoil that would probably be fine for you.
