Hey Y'all.

Yesterday was my Son, Zachary's 10th Birthday. He has been paddling with me since he was 3 years old and now has his own boat. (A 2Fun and I hopeone day to get him a 1.5 which will be a better fit).
He decided to make his own Cake this year and the theme for the cake is Kayaking.
If you are curious check out the pics of the cake he made. They got posted on on www.jacksonkayak.com/jkgallery06/photo-gallery.cfm
The paddlers and boats are made of Marzipan..
I thought it was very cool and I am proud of him.
:roflol:
Have a greatday!

Thanks. I am proud of him.
This spring we will be working on his roll. Once it is bomb proof there will be no stopping him.
He surfs small features well and spins and back surf. But if he flips it's game over.
He has a plan to roll this summer and so we will be out as much as we can. Trying to secure a pool session for us too.
His mom is learning also.
As he develops you will hear more from him.
Have a great evening. (or depending on where you are a goodnight...)

He is trying to do tricks. His goal is to play in holes nd waves.
He can run rivers fairly well. His brace is good and he can pick a line and stick to it (most of the time). Class II water.
For tricks he knows how to do ends, flat spins and can surf front and back but sice he can't roll yet he does not push his luck.
We are planning a pool session o we can work on his roll.
Once that is down and bomb proof there will be no stoping him (confidence comes with a killer roll!!)
