what kayak to buy 16 years 1 month ago #25604

i have started kayaking since sept 08 and rolling very quickly after that .
the boats i have used are , dagger infared , dagger gt , gforce . these are club boats.
the type of paddling i would like to aspire to is white water , surfing and the odd river .
i know this is a tall order for a boat to fit and that i wont grow out of to quickly
i was looking a the eskimo xeno 2006 is this a good boat to start with .
a paddle buddy of mine has a eskimo speedo and im looking to get a paddle in this on sat to see if i can roll in this .
i will try other boats in the mean time .
thanks ,dave the new boy ;)

Get a river play boat like the Dagger Juice, Dagger RX, Wave Sport Fuse, Fluid Spice, Jackson Fun, etc. Just try to get a demo on the water, since each boat will most likely handle slightly differently, one might have lower edges, one might have steeper sidewalls, different outfitting, etc.

Try to join a club, if there is one nearby, and they often have different boats you can try, and also people who can help you choosing one.
