Riot Kewl... Should i? 16 years 4 weeks ago #25689

I am new to the sport. I am looking for a smaller boat that will be a good all arounder for river running and bigger water, with the ability for rough and white water later on. i found a Riot kewl locally for $125.00 kayak, paddle, float bag, and whitewater skirt. anyone used a kewl? comfy? will it paddle true on a slower river? whats your opinion of it?

it's a end of the ninety design
the boat is old but at this price you don't risk a lot of money, it's just a little bit more expensive than rent a complete package for withewater

the boat was design to be a river runner class II-III

Cool, that sounds perfect for as far as what im going to be doing with it. but how is the comfort? i know that a few of these smaller boats are leg cramping and can be miserable to sit in.

by today's standards, that's a BIG playboat :) seriously, i can't imagine you'd have any problems getting in and staying comfortable, unless you are very very tall.

Thanks for the help guys. I have just been reading things about rigs like the Whip-It, and such, complaining about how they are just hell to have to sit in. I cant find a single review or write up about the Kewl. But from the sounds, it will fit my needs nicely
