i have recentl bought a pyrana recoil rapid+. i find it tight as it is the first smaller boat i have had.
my feet are going dead, the space for my feet is slightly small. i set the seat back as far as it will
go. i am 6 feet tall and in the range for the max weight. any suggestion would be great.

Do you feel a pinch in your thigh? If so, check out the Jackson Happy Feet or the NSI Thigh Risers. There should be plenty of room for you in that boat, assuming that you got the Large.

Probably the hip pads in the wrong place. Remove all padding and start from scratch, at 6 foot you should have no problems in that. try moving the seat back as well as the back rest.

Sometimes on a new boat your body judy needs to get used to a new sitting position.

Take your time to outfit it.

Still have problems maybe contact Pyrana see what they suggest.

I almost always find that when my legs go to sleep I have the hip pads set improperly. So +1 for playing with the hip pads. It's a fine line between tight and dead legs.

Also stretch lots before during, after. I have found that when I increased my flexibility my boat got more comfortable.

Hi,

Glad it worked out for you. I cant think the sales man did a number on you, probably just did not tell you to adjust all the padding once you had it.

When I get a new boat I spend a day outfitting it and adjust continually and things move and stretch. It should fit like a glove not a ballet pump ;-)

Enjoy the Recoil its a great kayak and just adjust it as you go.
