Hey all,

Im interested in buying a sea kayak: playak.com/kayaks.php?id=1646

As you can see it says paddler weight 50-100kg ... I have 100-102kg ... is this kayak even suitable for me? I need quick answers please!

Thanks for help!

in short, no. You will float, add some gear and you will float even less.
ideally you would want to be a few kg below the recomended weight especially in a sea kayak if you are planning on loading lots of gear for overnighting etc.
cheers

Yea why not. Your on the edge but it should still work well. just dont overload it with gear since your pretty much at the max already, you might want to look into something bigger, the sea kayak i have can hold a huge amount of weight around 400 lb i believe.

i have to agree with 'deon'. if you are going to take kit you'll struggle to even get to a resonable speed and if you stop you'll have get back up to speed, so no it's no suitable. but on the up side there are many other kayaks on the market like that one

good luck:laugh:
