Does anyone have a favorite gear website that they use? I am new to whitewayter kayaking.

For variety, coloradokayak.com is one of the best ones out there, as well as rockcreek.com , outdoorplay.com , noc.com , and there are a lot more.

If you want a good deal, check out steepandcheap.com, and make an account on sacalerts.com . I use the keywords "Astral, Extrasport, Kokatat, Kayak, Immersion" which covers some of the gear that you might want to look for. Most stores will give you 10-15% off of accessories if you buy a boat from them as well.

As far as insulating layers go, I use NRS, because they are good products, and are not very expensive. I really don't have a favorite brand otherwise though.

I've used this place a few times:

They deliver to South Africa no problem.

Just out of interest sake, Rockcreek refused to ship to South Africa, pretty poor if you ask me :angry: But I can see you're in the USA anyway so it doesn't matter :laugh: Good luck :)

I use Rock Creek for all my climbing gear and I love them.
