Advice on new paddle 15 years 8 months ago #27440

Hi,

I am looking to replace the paddle that i use at the moment which is a symmetric ainsworth one, not sure of the model exactly.

I dont want to spend much more than £130 - £140 on it, i have looked around at recommendations on brands such as Ainsworth and Werner. The Werner desperado seems like quite a good paddle, or some of the whitewater Ainsworth ones.

Are there brands that im missing, and what do you guys think of these paddles.

Thanks very much,

Steve

I use an ATX bent shaft dont know the model either but im happy with it. There is a recent thread about lendal paddles, and them not being very well made since the company was sold??? cant comment on it myself never used a pair. Many years ago i had a set of schlegel's and they were good, never had any problems.

Other companys to consider: h20, ATX, rough stuff, robson, mitchel blades, originz obviously werner uve mentioned and are very popular on the water.

take into consideration length, blade style and materials. For £140 you should get a good pair.

good luck

matt
