I picked up 2 XP-9's and one XP-10 today. I still have to go back and get one more XP-9 in a few weeks. This being our first kayak purchase with our only experience in a 2 person sea kayak in maine we were not sure if they would be stable due to the tippy feeling in the sea kayak. We are happy to say you don't have that feeling in the XP's. My 9 and 11 year old boys were comfy and felt stable in them and were moving around the water no problem. Skeg up and down they are AWSOME kayaks . My wife felt stable and secure in hers. We can't wait to get more time in them and of course the other XP-9 so one person does not have to sit on the shore and watch although it leaves a camera person there. I will keep up with any thoughts on these boats as I go out more.

TBudd Offline Elite Member Posts: 164 Thank you received: 1	I have an XP9 (got one of the first I think back in January). I've had it in all sorts of conditions and love mine. If you don't have spray skirts for them you should definitely consider it--this boat can handle all sorts of water conditions and although you may not take the young ones in those conditions some in your fleet may find they want to push things a little. Good deal.

Spray skirt will also keep you paddling until the water freezes over. WWW.AutstinKayak.com carries spray skirts for XP's at a decent price (good quality Seal skirts).
