long sleeve cag and trousers 15 years 5 months ago #28360

Hey all.

ive been away for 3 weeks and i appear to have missed the transition from summer paddling to winter paddling so now my shorts and s/s cag are probably going to be to short in the next couple of weeks.

So time to invest in a long sleeve dry cag and some trousers. I have the peak UK store about an hour away and there is brookbank aswell but im trying to do this a bit cheaper so im going to scour the forums and dare i say it flea-bay aswell. I like my s/s palm cag but there is so many long sleeve cags made by lots of manufacturers out there(this all aplies for trousers aswell) im not sure what to choose.

Im prepared to get a bit wet as the only way im going to stay bone dry is in a dry suit. What i need is something to keep me warm if i do take a swim.

What i need from you guys is advice i suppose and if anyone has anything lying around that they want rid of or dont need and want to sell.

Matt

I´ve got these : www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=2261&deptid=1173 and I just love them. Super light, dry and comfy.

I may have narrowed it down to the above and the below

Still not 100% sure though about the trousers, i quite like the palm sidewinders aswell.

I have the IR Comp cag/drytop and the Extrasport X-treme trousers/drypants, and when I jumped in water around 40 degrees with an air temp of 55, I was fine. All of the gear I was wearing was a rashguard, NRS Mystery short-sleeve shirt, IR Comp, bathing suit, drypants, and hydroskin socks, which I stretched over the neoprene ankle gasket to make it a drier seal. I could feel the cold water against the pants, but I also had no insulation on my legs. Both are the Entrant fabric, but my main factor for getting them was that they were under $150 total (cag and trousers).
