Hi, what are the key elements to do back deck roll without head touching water ? I'm learning the move but found it impossible to keep the head dry like some folks in youtube. Thanks !

i think an important part of the trick is the push on the left blade in the beginning (that's the part that i normally miss. i always get my hair wet :) )

I have a problem with mine also. im no were near keeping my head dry, my problem is that no matter how hard i twist my wrists up(to get the blades above the surface) i always end up with the paddle under the boat when come round the other side!? confused? me too!

Sometimes i can balance and pull the blades from under the boat, other times i fall on my face and have to do my normal roll. :)

Very rubbish indeed.

I have the same problem I get wet.
I have a frend who has mastered it.
He tells me the trick is to commit to the move and snap the boat over you.
If you look at the video he starts slow but moves fast once his blade hits the water.
I'll add it to my list of things to work on and let you know what happens.

I've only just got the back deck roll to work properly, still getting my head very wet. I'll ask a few people from my club and see how I get along.
