Fuse56 Recoil 15 years 2 months ago #29138

People,
I'm looking for a kayak usefull for running but for play also.
I'm in the direction of Fuse56 or Recoil M.
I'm 178cm tall x 70kg and I wish a kayak solution for any time (but not for creek )
I had not occasion until now to test and compare the kayaks rolling, surfing or running max the www IV, so I wish to know your opinion to take a choice.
Could you help me??
Do you suggest any further models ?
Bye
Andrea

Adrian
thanks for your support.
I've also another query for you.
Detox M is a new Fluid kayak and the medium size it seems with good volume for creek also.
What do you think about this model ?
Fluid site shows a picture about it but anything else ...
I'm thinking to buy a play/running kayak to use during course and teaching (or when I go with my wife on the river) and a 2nd kayak for creek when I'm alone but for my wife also (so ...easy to roll and "light")
Have you understood my trouble??
Bye

No problem :-)

I have not paddled any of the Detox prototypes because it's not my river season in this part of South Africa unfortunately so I cannot say... But some other people have and check out Andrew Pollocks blog:
paddleblogs.com/andrewpoll/

He has some pictures (and video) of the first prototype on his website, have a look at that link. Second is out now and if it works that should be as far as it goes. Fluid always make proto types until the boat is right, not all manufacturers do this.

I think the Detox will be a very cool boat for a fair amount of creeking, but it won't be as good as the Solo, of course, for serious creeking. I'm definitely getting a Detox as my river season starts in 3 months from now!

Fluid have some good outfitting, their quality is great and their customer service is well backed up in Europe should something go wrong. Yes I'm sponsored so don't take my word for it, but I'm sure I would not be called a liar for what I've said - they are good boats. Try to demo something from them and see if it works for you. ;) Maybe it does, maybe not. But try first!

hy,
I've bought Recoil M at the end and I'm happy for performance and my fitting inside.
There is a lot of space inside and I've not problem with my legs and overall my knee, reason for my change of kayak.
I suggest you to test Recoil before but my opinion and experience is positive.
I hope this help you
Bye
