tall people fitting into really small boats? 19 years 2 months ago #2934

the guy that did a review on the squashtail says he is 6'2 size 11 feet..Im 6'1 with shoes off size 10 1/2 feet and i could not fit in the squashtail..maybe if i moved the seat all the way back and had nothing in the bulk head i would have a chance of fitting in the boat...(in other words i would have to be totally uncomfortable all day)..i guess my question is am i not doing something right squeezing into these super small playboats???..ive been playboating a solid 3 years and i thought i was pretty good at it

Great boat for a big guy: Riot AIR60. Lot's of leg and foot room and volume for the bigger and heavier guy. And the boat is till just over 6'3" long!

Give it a go.

Uhuh. But there is not as much room in the vision 56.
If you don't mind the squeeze and you can get your feet comfortable the vision 56 is a better all round boat.
But if you got feet or mass/weight issues then go one size bigger like the Air60 and now Wavesport is putting out the Project60 and I think that will be the next boat for the bigger guy. Check it out: doubleyouess.com/currentNews.php?news_id=135
Consider the project. Itlooks sweet.
That will probably be my next boat too.

what are you in right now?
and it really depends on what you want to do with the boat if you want to play more than river run the vision will probably be better and anyways the vision has a lot of pop to it for aerial moves. i went to rv today and saw a guy in a vision 56 he threw a huge loop in a small hole so if you want air get the vision

Here is the big guy view:
I really wanted a boat for holes so I rode a Crazy 88 for a bit (which by the way is really hot). Great boat but for my 210 lb frame I found that I got tired after a while. As long as I was playing in the hole it was fun. If I wanted to ride downstream for a ways it was a lot of work o keep the bow down.
tried a Vision 56 and same deal. Really nice boat but unless you are going to spend your time doing only park and play stuff it gets a got tiring.
Along comes the Air 60. It is a bit of a bitch to back surf but it's the first time I got in a boat that did not squish me and lets me ride hard all day.
Sounds like a weird comercial for some feminine product......

Dude, if you are tall and weight a lot go for something that will handle both departments (if you do not like the Riot boats go for the project 60).
If you are tall and under 200 lbs, the kid from Texas is right: Go with the Vision 56.
TRY A WHOLE LOT OF THEM BEFORE DROPING THE CASH.
Good night!

its not that im looking for a boat..i have an air 60 and it is the best big guy boat ive ever owned...i guess im in that funky range where boats i fit in are to big and the boats that have a little less volume and have less width im to big for..i guess the question is how are these bigger guys fitting in these super small boats??

i just noticed a recent post by corran on imagine showing how you can give your boat more leg room and i think that might have sort of answered my question

i fit in the vision 56 but my feet are on the plastic in the bow and the seat is all the way back :(

thanks for all the good feed back

im 6ft 2 inches tall and im paddeling a jackson all star

i have plenty of leg room in it i think its because of the comfort feet system its really good and can be adjusted with a hand pump (buit in) it means if u are paddleing all day long you can have a slightly lose fit but if its just a 30 min stretch at a time whare you are really going for it then you can pump it up make it tight and make it preform much better. i love the boat its also really light so moves are super fast and it has no holes this means no leaks.

s:6 ok in size 200 but didnt like it (paddled it)

wavesport project 52 way to small even with out no foam block still
squeesed in tho. (sat in it)

pyranah 4 twenty syncro 6 s/m i could only just get in dont think i could spend more than 20 mins in it (just squeezed in)

i think that demoing is really good you can get a feal of each boat and if you go to a shop and they have a rivver near by and u can demo them in quick sucession this is good because you can compair.

also ask people to borrow their baots when u are out if you are a member of a club then its good iv tried m8s boats from my club

Demo Demo Demo.
It is the only way to go. Unless you have a lot of friends who have all sorts of the latest boats but thatstill qualifies as "demo".

If you like dagger products you could give the Crazy 88 a rip.

It's great and comfortable. You should fit and since you are not heavy you should fit their weight range too.
