I am currently looking for a new skirt because my old (cheap) one has imploded on me a few times and i am hoping to step up to some bigger stuff this season.

I don't have a heap of money and there is a limited range available to me so my choices at the moment are ether the IR shockwave or an electric water deck with heavy duty shock cord. Most oversea's people probably won't know the electric water but any info on ether one would be great, implosion resistance is the most important consideration. if you have other recomendations i could try to hunt one down or have it ordered in.

cheers, Eoin

I have an EW deck with the heavy duty cord. It's 6months old now. I'm really happy with this deck. It's far better than my previous deck which cost a fair bit more. Value for money I don't think you can go past it.

As far as implosion resistance, the cord seems very strong and I've not had it pop off or anything before. I mainly playboat and spend a little time in the surf. I don't use a thruster or anything to help with implosion. Also spent 2 weeks on the west coast of NZ in Jan with it. Still no complaints, I'm really happy with it, especially for the price, and it's made locally!
