Flying from Canada to UK with Kayak 14 years 11 months ago #29520

Can anyone suggest a kayak friendly airline that will allow me to fly from Vancouver to London with a creek boat? Heading to Canada in July, going to get a boat over there to save me from taking mine via South America. My research so far is that British Airways, Air Canada and Delta are useless and wont let you check in a boat. Virgin seems to have a good policy but don't fly to Canada.
Up for any other suggestions of a cost effective solution,

Cheers

Put it in a bag and tell them it is 'sports equipment' and ask again. They might say yes!

Agreed. Never use the word kayak. If you must, tell them it's surfing equipment. Worked with my large creek boat
