Here is a classic question. Which dry top to buy?

I have 4 tops in mind with their pros and cons:

Sweet Prophecy:
Gore Tex dry top, looks super comfy but also fragile. Is it durable? Will it survive me rolling in shallow creeks and will it survive being packed in my gear bag at the bottom of some guys trunk.

Stohlquist Free Fall:
I used to have a Stohlquist and loved it, but where do I buy one close to Switzerland? Is there an on-line shop in Europe?

Kokatat Rouge:
My current dry top, I really like it, had 3 good years in it and 1 bad year. For some reason I think it is boring to buy the same dry top twice in a row.

Palm Sidewinder:
Looks good, people seem happy with it, but in my mind suffers a bit from being boring b/c every one has one :)

Any way if you people have any thoughts on this subject I'd be happy to hear them.

Jon, just stick with the Kokatat Rogue... :) You drink rum every year, and that never gets boring :P

But some times I like a bit of whiskey or tequila. It's easy with alcohols there I can take 4 brands in an evening. With drytops I can only afford one :(

It's not on your list but have a look at the Peak Uk Creek jacket and the impact pads that you can get for the jacket.
Super tough, super dry and because you can fit the impact pads into the jacket you don't need bulky strap on pads for protection.

otherwise I would say stohlquist

Another top that is not on your list is the IR Comp LX- IR is using a 4- layer Entrant material this year that is on par with the 3 layer material that is out there today- and IR stands behind the products much like Kokatat- but at about $100 less. Check them out: www.immersionresearch.com
