So when 10 or 20 or 30 people go kayaking as a group and stuff gets thrown into a shuttle van or everyone stops for lunch somewhere and gear gets taken off or laid on stuff absolutely no one ever has identical gear and it never gets mixed up ......c'mon guys !

Maybe some are really anti-social and always paddle alone........

This has never been an issue for me, but since I took 2 big swims last season I have considered putting my name and e-mail on my boat... never got around to it. I guess I just try not to swim this season :)

It's also never been a problem for me in terms of gear. But I know of several people who put their names and cell phone number written in the boat (and their paddles). Good idea, because when this one local river of ours gets high it can gobble boats. I think the record stands at 3 or 4 lost boats in 1 paddling session - it's fast and continuous. I guess the farmers downstream are picking out nice pot plants for themselves now :P
