Here's a sneak preview at a prototype of a new paddle brand that can be expected on the market soon. They will be available in straight and bent shaft, both for touring and whitewater. The bent shaft WW version will weigh 990 grams. It uses a couple of innovations that are all patent pending.

Below is the first ever photo of a CORE prototype:

Looked and felt like some sort of lightweight metal, but the details were not communicated yet. On the photo you see 2 colors, which was just to test how people liked the colors. The final products will be one color only, as the shafts will be made of one piece (also the bent shafts).

We were showing the initial protos at OR so the paddle in the photo is actually a second generation prototype. Production model will change a little but the overall look will be the same.
We are just finalizing some patent details now and once those are complete we will issue a press release outlining the new brand.

We have been working on the development of the new shaft for over a year now and it is amazing. Details will follow shortly.

Expecting to do a partial launch in late September with the full model range available Jan. 1 2011.
