I'm thinking of taking a kayak road trip next summer. I'm really only familiar with the rivers in Western North Carolina and not all that sure what the rest of America has to offer. Sure I've heard of other rivers, but am not sure what class they are and whether or not they'd be appropriate for me. I'm planning on spending my whole time this summer up in North Carolina working on my skills and taking lessons to gain new ones, so by next summer I should be an extremely strong class III boater and by that time I should be comfortable paddling some class IV with a guide.

So, that being said, where should I go??? Anybody want to join me? Kayak road trip 2007!

Nicole

Sic transit gloria mundi is Latin. It literally means "so goes the glory of the world". It's the Latin equivalent of "That's life" or "C'est la vie." I like the Latin better though because it's a bit more power than just saying that's life. I like to think that there is glory in this world and in man.

The previous avatar was a picture of me hitting the first rapid on the whitewater course in Penrith, Australia. It was a lot of fun, and I met some really nice kayakers there who were happy to lead me down the course. I decided I should put up something just a bit more recent so this is a picture from my Ecuador trip. I was about to say it was on the Quijos, but on second thought I'm not sure. I'll look in my journal and let ya know later. The whole Ecuador trip was fantastic. I went with Endless River Adventures, and they did a great job.
