I think what he means is, clip a spare helmet onto the back of the boat, so that it drags in the water, supposedly it helps people paddle in a straight line

i find the best way of getting them to go straight is to teach them to paddle properly :roflol: :!:

Dragging a log, using a spare helmet why take time finding all of this stuff then tieing it on to a boat for five minutes.

Choose an object if frount of you then paddle directly towards it what you are after is the bow of the boat to keep swinging GENTLY from side to side with the object in the middle.

This way you know that if you one stoke was to weak to move you back to the other side of the object you nee another stroke.

i also find patience and time work well ;-)

its not that hard to find practise time. My family is a bunch of hicks and have dewalt lights. So i set them up around my pond and practise into the night and worked all day! so i just ran my nerves into the ground

If you dont go to school how can you get a job which pays enough to support your kayaking addication and gives you enough time to be able to paddle and get over those wobbles.

school = qualifications = good job = good money + time off to paddle = no more wobbles

I think the 'wobblies' are caused by an uneven balance of the kayak. Try moving forward in the boat. When I first started I had the 'wobblies' real bad, but then at a roll clinic a guy moved all of my outfitting forward as far as it would go and the 'wobblies' diesappeared. I was too far back in my boat. Give that a try. I think they are caused by a combo of several things, but primarily by that

Putting your seat forward is a great idea! As far forward as you can. So many people buy the latest rad boad but have to put the seat all the way back in order to fit into it without thinking about what it does to the trim of the boat.

Sitting upright and forward is also way important. Anytime that you lean back you are out of control, even boofing, so try not to do it.
