We're heading to the Nile later this year and one member of our crew is doing it as part of a round the world and is therefore limited on choice of airline.

Does anyone have any experiences taking play boats on SAA - she would be flying Syd- J'burg - Entebbe with them.

Her other option is Malaysian Airlines who clearly state "no kayaks" so we'd have to try and pull the "surf ski" trick....

No. Not all. I think British Airways is very kayak and windsurfer friendly. I think they have a once off fee for any large bags. Although I stand under correction?!?!?
