[b:2ce731edd8]Peak UK Indoor Challenge[/b:2ce731edd8]
The Outdoors Show. Birmingham NEC March 17-19th.

The NEC Event is on.... Bigger and better than before with great prizes from Fat Face and two parties.... Come along and join the fun.

The wave box will not be there this year, but we have a larger pool and a far more exciting event planned. An all head to head challenge with a difference... Fun and excitement for everyone guaranteed.

The Events:

[b:2ce731edd8]Head to Head X Slalom[/b:2ce731edd8]: Athlete’s line up side by side on start ramps then race head to head through a series of slalom gates and other tricks including a hit me ball suspended head height above the water and a roll. The heats are timed and penalties awarded for missing gates or moves. From these results paddlers are seeded into pairs for the next exciting event.... (Modern 2m playboats must be used for this event)

[b:2ce731edd8]Bungy Boatercross[/b:2ce731edd8]: Two at a time, athletes race head to head down the pool, the further they get, the harder it becomes as the carefully tensioned bungy they are attached to tightens...... The paddler that gets closest to the far end of the pool goes through for another race until the bungy king and queen are crowned. If paddlers dead heat then it’s time for a gruelling backwards tie breaker... ( all participants must use sub 200cm paddles and race in the Riot Sniper kayaks provided. C1 paddlers will race K1 for this section.)

[b:2ce731edd8]Flatwater Freestyle Jam[/b:2ce731edd8]: Athlete’s take a one minute prelim run, two at a time, starting with an entry move off the ramps. Variety of different moves performed is judged on both right and left sides including all the usual hole moves plus bow and stern stalls. Paddlers progress through heats, semis, then knockout finals. (Modern 2m playboats must be used for this event)

Results from all three event sections are combined and top athletes in each class ( C1, Mens, Ladies, and Juniors ) go through to the knockout X Slalom finals.

There's going to be much more going on than previous years though, so you lose some things and gain multiply in other areas (like women after marriage  )

Should be a good oppurtunity to see what people can do on the flat. You dont often get to see that.

You'll see most brands there or there abouts. I'm not sure any of them would be so stoked if you robbed a banner, but if you ask nicely for posters and the like I'm sure you'll get a good stash.

See you there
