How bad is it for a 205 pound guy (includes wet winter gear) to paddle a Diesel 65 instead of a Diesel 75?
In a back to back test, I found the 65 to be certainly more fun in a hole but a little slower on the rest of the river. I want to get the most fun but am wondering if I'm compromising too much on safety at the rivers bad sutff for more fun on the other 95% of the river.
A mate of mine weighs 95 kg without any gear and he paddles the 65. But he's thinking of buying the larger one now. I suppose it depends on the rivers you're paddling. If you are doing overnight trips then you'll need the larger one perhaps. Ask Tyler Curtis on boater talk.

I believe he paddles the 75 and is smaller than you. :roflol:

yeah but tyler runs big ass waterfalls 'n stuff in chile, i'd take the big one too in that case cause it resurfaces alot faster.. if you're just river running I'm not too sure, but for steeper creeks i'd take the 75 for sure if i was 200 pounds
