there's plenty of good paddles out there and i do like the new lendalls by the look of it...

but the one's i had in my hands were werners and robsons...both have plus and minus with werner winning the race ....

overall,

werner seems to have a perfect shaft without too many problems, with the blades being a little bit soft on the edges...

the robson's the oposite...shaft too weak and heavy and the blades strong...

paddles do break (unfortunately) but in the price ranges of 200$+ they should last for long...werner seems to do exactly that...

hi ross, if it's between robson and werner i'd definitely go for werner. i have seen many paddles break in my paddle life, all sorts of brands. but werner will probably not break when moving water only. if you got stuck inbetween rocks every paddle in the world will break. i myself use a ty warp 10 and i am happy with it. cheers, lunde

also looking for a new set (after snapping my schlagel n20s)
during my search i have come across this pair on ebay called 'class five' composites (carbon crank shaft) it is probs more my lack of product knowledge but i have never heard of them and can't find any information on the net about them!

they look good quality + are cheap (at the moment) and the seller compares them to his werner double diomonds but not willing to bid as i haven't heard of them.
do they have a website or does anyone know anything about them?
how much would you recomend paying for them?
am i better off getting a more known brand? etc
heres the link:
