I have a brand new RIOT Flair and the boat has a lot of pores in the hull and sidewalls. Another issue is a bolt from the security bar, they got it so tight, that it went all the way through the plastic to the inside of the boat, and; and the cockpit rim is very irregular, so I can´t get a tight seal with the sprayskirt.

dang sounds like u got a factory defect boat or riot just is downright poor quality :bitching:

Do something logical. Sell the Riot. Buy a boat as smooth as liquid, and you will be :dance: Need i specify the company i speak of. Well, i've put my Space Cadet through hell and back for THREE years, and that hog is still f'in sick. Peace-- Will Pruett

ya riots material blows but ive never heard of it being that bad. you can probably tell by now im not too fond of riots. but i think just about any other boat from anyother company you will be happy with. i agree with ebuddha liquid logic plastic is realy durable. i like their plastic the best overall. i just picked up my project. i love it. unfortunatly it might be hard to find a used one tho. a leaky boat and odd cockpit i doubt is exceptable by riot try sending it back with a note to the factory. try to make it a nice note even though i bet you arent to heppy with the boat.

Riot do have a different size cockpit, thats why playboater spraydecks make a special "riot" size, just to let you know before doing anything rash

Thank you all for your advice, I already have a Snap Dragon sprayskirt (Riot cut). The biggest problem is that I live in Argentina, it´s to expensive for me to send the boat back to Riot. I love their designs, but I think this will be my lasr Riot :(

It may be worrh taking it back to the shop you got it from and ask them to see if its covered by warrenty if it is then they will ship it back for you. It may be worth taking pictures of your defects and emailing them to riot and they will probably get back to you with an answer one way or the other

I´ve already emailed RIOT with a lot of pictures and they´ve never replied my email. Their custmoer service isn´t good at all. I´m going to send a mail to the shop, and see what they can do. Thanks a lot

[color=cyan:5da8342e11]I think most people could tell you a few stories about every kayaking manufacturer out there.... Customer service is something else. :neutral:

I cracked two Big EZ's in just over a year. Same place. The front left bolt that holds the seat in position. Both times I was given a brand new Big EZ in exchange. My local shop, Rob Herrevelds Canoe and Kayak World and Jimmy B. at Wave Sport were FANTASTIC. Excellent customer service. I couldn't have been treated better. ;-) As a result I still paddle a Wave Sport ZG[/color:5da8342e11]

jackson customer service is good too. a guy at my club needed a new screw/bung thing for his happy feet and it was in the uk within a week free of charge
