I was AMAZED at the amount of performance difference small seating adjustments can make - forward first, then go back, wedge up, or down, move your knee braces to adopt a different angle, etc...
Muck around and try paddling at different settings - it will take some time, but is well worth the effort.
Once settled, you can then foam up your boat for a custom fit..
