Kingpin and Ronin (sizing) 18 years 9 months ago #8310

More help needed for the tall paddler.
I am still looking for a playboat that will fit me. I am 6'6, 200 lbs, 35 inseam, size 13 shoe. Would I have any chance in fitting in a Dagger Kingpin 6.3? It looks like a kick ass boat.
I know the Ronin is yet to come out, but I noticed in the info that it have increased knee and foot room. I was almost able to painfully squeeze myself into a vision 56 and the Ronin 59 is bigger. If anyone knows anything about the boat, would that be an option for me?
Thanks!

Try the Fluid Flirt large. I'm slighlty smaller than you (6'4", 185 pounds, 36" inseam, size 11 shoes) and just can squeeze myself into a Fluid Flirt medium. You would probably fit perfectly in the Flirt large.

It could be worth the wait to try the bigger ronin for size as it sounds as it will fit bigger people better than anything b4

the problem with being tall is that you have to move the seat right back to fit in! this means your weight will be too far back so the boat will not perform aswell

could be worth tryin the cross river out aswell awsome boat:grin:

Yeah Unplugged, I noticed the same problem for me, when I compared the LL Ronins and WS projects with my Kingpin 6.3 on the playakdatbase. It seams like I am to heavy for the Ronin 49 and the Project 52.
The Ronin 59 seems to have (much) more volume than the kingpin (5 gall more) although the Ronin is shorter. I think I stick to my comfy Kingpin.
Maybe I change my opinion when the Ronin is there.

Good luck with your choice.
