OC1 paddle length 18 years 9 months ago #8402

i'm getting a robson cufly next weekend for dirt cheep. i know it's a shitty boat to learn to canoe in but im hopeing my kayaking experience will help me out. but what i have noticed by trying out other peoples canoes is that paddle length makes a huge differance. so what length would u recommend i go. i'm 5 foot 8, 170 pounds in a robson cufly? not like it matters much but for kayaking i use a 185cm paddle 0 feather, so i'm much a fan of a short paddle for kayaking

I used a 57inch paddle in my spanish fly for white water to measure paddle length kneel in your paddling position with the t grip on the floor paddle blade in the air you should have you hand at the throat of the blade top of the shaft your arm should be slightly bent at the elbow towards the floor use this as guide you can always cut ur paddle down again

Seeing as you are picking the boat cheaply spend the extra money on a new uncut c1 blade like the werner bandit
