Response to EJ's Article on Badittude 18 years 9 months ago #8427

EJ's Article:

My Response:
Kayaking is a form of art. It is an art-form. The expression of nature is painted with her medium, water! We too paint a picture. We use the river as a canvas to express. These paintings are both personal and communal. Each of us is an island, but we are all connected by the same water. As paddlers we are all connected to nature and therefore each other. So let me quickly mention that I too sometimes feel EJ's frustration. I feel that no art is right or wrong. Art is what it is, an expression of self. All living beings have the ability to exist in their own right.

That being said, often it is those who are insecure and measure their success by the failure of others, who will never truly feel satisfied and at peace. So... I don't worry about it and just smile.

This reminds me of something my grandmother used to say. Wise men speak because they have something to say, fools because they have to say something.

Go BIG or go home,
Boe
