Sorry man...

To attempt to slightly redeem myself, have you considered \"No More Nails\"

I haven't used it to stick padding into a boat but I have managed to stick a plank of wood on to a wallpapered wall, strong enough to hold a failry heavy blind.

Should stick closed cell foam to plastic but as usual, try on an area of the cockpit rim first, just to make sure.

Good luck..

I have always used industrial contact cement from any hardware store. Also use sandpaper on the area of your boat to rough up the surface and it will adhere better. gl :D

contact Riot they have the thighbraces

Knee braces for the air 55.

Without wanting to jump on the sacracsm wagon (I lovr sarcasm!) you should try the riot website.
Their customer service is second to none and if they can get them out to you without breaking your bank book, the will.
Good luck.

I use Evo stick works well

As for the thigh braces for an air Riot use a narrower cockpit rim which is molded in such a way that you use this instead of a thigh grip this areas should be covered with black foam they work really well.

If you mean the Easy exit thigh dtrap system many people remove them and they do not seem to be on their web site any more8)

If you are going to use no more nails check it carfully first. Many products of this type contain solvents that will melt foam and plastic. Could be a good way to end up with a hole in your boat!!!!! Only saying be carfull.

I have always used evo-stick and it's always been fine.:)

Best thing you can use is Evo Stick contact adhesive. Apply it to both padding and the boat. Leave it until almost dry - should be tacky to the touch and then press the padding firmly to the boat. If you're looking for cheap padding - get a standard camping mat from any shop. Makes excellent padding for knees hips etc.
