New kayak? 18 years 8 months ago #8900

What do you like or suggest?

Im looking for a good hole yak that is good on edge and stands on its ends easy.
Right know Im in a t3 and can cartwheel it to a point. I think it has to much volume for me and is hard to keep on end.

Im in at 180 and 5'10\".

Ideas?

Mickey

I would look at the Wavesport EZG 50 or the Project 52. If you want to do arial tricks then the project is the way to go as the EZG would need an overthruster to really help it get the pop needed. Another option is the Dagger RX 6.7 or the Crazy 88 6.2. Again the arial trick boat is the Crazy and the allarounder is the RX. Take a peak at them both and see what fits you. Demo them if you can to see how they feel.

yeah.....taliesin38 has the right idea with the project 52. im a light guy about 120 and 5' 9'...and i can flat water loop the 52 pretty easily. its really easy to handle and easy to roll as well. it isn't as good in the air as the 88 but it can stick blunts and pan ams pretty well. you can go huge in a hole with it though...huge loops and mcnastys...and PHONIX MONKEYS!!!...so yeah..the project 52 or the 88...the advantage of the 88 is you get the overthruster in the package...but wait...the Agent is gonna be coming out soon...so check that out to

Try the Fluid Flirt as well. Awesome boat! I'm 6'4\" and 185 and can just fit into a Flirt medium. You should be able to fit in it perfectly.

I'm with michielv, and say try the Fluid Flirt. It's really easy to throw around in the flats and still gets monster pop for loops and such in holes, but i may be biased.

At the end of the day i would recommend demoing as much as possible until you find what suits you best. But give the Flirt a try.

Good lines and big air

I didn't really emphasize the need to try out all of the boats that you are interested in. That is the most important thing. If your local shop doesn't have the boat you want to try just ask someone on the river. I know I let people try my boat if they ask nicely.:ask:

GOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4-20 s-m

Im alittle over the weight but its nice!!

I tried the m-f but it had to much volume!

Tried others, smallers id push under easy and my body would be to far under water on cartwheels...not going to work!

now the 420 would keep me at the right body depth in vert position.

I just need to keep it on the stern long enough to get my body in position to hold it longer then 3 sec's
