Hey.

Pretty new to playaboating (or kayaking in general) and was hoping for som advice. I can do enders when I have a wave to push the bow down in the river, but I am unable to get the bow to go even slightly underwater in an eddy or still water. Been told that with the boat I have (Dagger Juice), it's easier to do by getting some speed and \"pushing the bow down suddenly\" than trying to double pump and get up (like the first half of a cartwheel). Sofar, neither method works for me and was wondering if anyone could help me out.

there are some other posts on this subject so id search around for answeres there. The boat your suing is a riverruning playboat and will definetly be harder to throw down than in a playboat.

he is right that the juice is a more difficult boat to put the bow down on. I would suggest that learning how to do it with a double pump is the way to go as it gives you the momentum to start a cartwheel. Paddling forward and putting the bow down suddenly will be difficult because of the profile of the bow and you will have forward momentum not rotational momentum that is needed for a cartwheel.

A Dagger Juice by the looks of its profile will be quite hard to get an end from a plough under, so like others i suggest you try getting ends via a double pump. If ur still having trouble with the double pump it might be cause u've got the wrong boat for ur body size. I know some guys who don't weight much but get a too bigger boat for their body size so as result can't get ends due to there being too much bouyancy!!
