paddle position bow stall 18 years 7 months ago #9388

I guess it would be better to open up another forum and not taxi the other forum that I have about a bow stall.

Ok paddle position: I know the tripod deal.

Ok your paddle is in the water and you are vertical. Now my paddle has very little feather to it.
When trying to work the paddle one side has a better force under it while the other isn’t pushing at the same pressure.

How do I control the paddle to get it to work with me rather then against? I have found that the pry that I use when pumping the front under was putting the left side of my paddle to deep in the water. So I started to let it slide across the top of the water and at a lower horizontal plain with the water. This has all helped and when vertical my paddle is near the surface.

I just don’t know how to move the paddle when up.

May sound funny….

Any ideas or what do you feel or do when bow stalling????

I am lost on the technique side of the after getting on a stall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you are verticle...place the paddle paralell with the water...if your paddle is feathered yet try to get the paddle as parallel as you can..then while your verticle push down on the paddle if you feel your going to land on your face..but if u feel your falling backwords pull the paddletoward you (the paddle should always be just under/alittle bit further under the surface of the water.
